A REVIEW ON "THE PRINCESS ON THE ROAD"

The one act play 'The princess on the road' is written by Katheleen Congngham Green. In her's plays woman treets as the central charactors.In this play the main charactor is The Princess.
We never think a princess on the road.But here is a princess appears in a village road disguised as a peasant girl. When she reached there how the villagers treeted her is the main theme of this play.The Princess took an adventure trip to the village but led to a pathetic condition by treating her as a thief and vagabond. At last she escaped from their humiliaton with the help of the Juggler.
This intresting play gives a lively description of an ordinary village life. The villagers who appears in this play are typical villagers The plot is worthy to be commended and effectively executed in it. The play is very intresting as well as thought-provoking. The village road and the cross plays a vital role and represents the sufferings faced by the Princess in this play. A woman who is alone will be treated brutally.here this them is displayed in beautiful manner.
